The Full Story

SOUL OF A PLANET LLC

I've always been passionate about sustainability and the environment. I have always loved decorating my home, but as my passion for sustainability grew, I realized that my love for décor was contributing to landfill waste. That's when I discovered upcycling and found a way to nurture my decorating passion without contributing to waste. I loved the idea of taking something that was destined for the landfill and turning it into a piece of functional art. Every time I upcycled a piece of furniture, I felt like I was doing my part to reduce waste and help the environment. It was a way for me to merge my love of the planet with my passion for creativity.

Now, I upcycle furniture regularly and even started a small business selling upcycled furniture and art. It brings me so much joy to see the transformation of each piece and to know that I'm doing my part to reduce landfill waste. I hope that my love for upcycling furniture inspires others to do the same and to find their own unique ways to reduce waste and protect the environment.

Why Choose Upcycled Furniture?

  • Unique and One-of-a-kind: Upcycled hardwood furniture is often crafted from reclaimed or salvaged wood, which means that each piece is unique and has its own character and history.

  • Eco-Friendly: Upcycled hardwood furniture is a sustainable option because it helps reduce the amount of waste in landfills and minimizes the need for new resources to be harvested.

  • Beautiful Aesthetics: The natural character and patina of reclaimed wood creates a beautiful and rustic aesthetic that adds warmth and texture to any space.

  • Unmatched Quality: Many vintage furniture pieces were built to last with high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship. These pieces have stood the test of time and are often more durable and well-made than mass-produced furniture today.

  • Investment Value: Vintage furniture can be an excellent investment. If cared for properly, these pieces can appreciate in value over time, making them a wise purchase for those looking for long-term value.

  • Supports Local Artisans: Many upcycled hardwood furniture pieces are crafted by local artisans, which means that purchasing them supports small businesses and helps keep traditional craftsmanship alive.

  • History and Story: Using reclaimed or salvaged wood in furniture creates a sense of history and story that can add depth and meaning to your home decor.
